This position offers opportunities to work closely with the CEO and other c-suite executives on high-level strategic decision-making across AG1’s business, as well as have a meaningful impact in direct customer relationships. The ideal candidate has experience managing issues, and will be adept at working closely with executives, cross-functional teams, and third-party agencies.
Executive Communications
- Partner with the VP, Public Relations & Communications to develop and execute a strategic roadmap for executive communications, ensuring alignment with the AG1 brand story and vision.
- In partnership with the Brand Communications lead, develop and maintain a calendar of external executive communications.
Issue Management
- Partner with VP, Public Relations & Communications and company leadership to strategically prepare for and respond to issues.
- Maintain a sturdy process and framework for proactively managing and responding to customer and partner questions and issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies, to manage issues and build a proactive approach to reputation management.
Agency Management
- Manage external PR and reputation agencies day-to-day, proactively managing AG1’s brand reputation as well as collaborating on issue management strategies and tactical responses.
- Partner with internal and external teams to oversee and manage key announcements, news moments, changes within the organization, and high-priority matters.
- Maintain issue management playbook and train new executives into the process.
Business Partnership
- Ensure all core communications to customers and partners are aligned with brand and communication guidelines.
- Partner with the Customer Happiness team to provide training on responding to day-to-day customer inquiries.
- Support the Partnerships, Social Media, and Product Education teams on effectively communicating with partners and customers.
- 7+ years of proven experience in corporate communications and PR, ideally with a combination of in-house and agency experience.
- Experience in a consumable products industry is highly preferred; health-related experience is a bonus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experience writing on behalf of others in different tones of voice is a plus.
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to work diplomatically with C-suite and executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage PR agencies and external partners.
- Strong understanding of the social media and digital landscape and basic experience with SEO and digital reputation management.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage urgent requests with confidence.
- Strong executive presence and thought partnership; the ability to push back when necessary.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $110,000 - $134,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
