Quality Engineering @ Ironclad
As a Product Quality Engineer, you'll be working as a part of a cross-functional team to identify business needs, assist in planning projects around those needs, then create and execute test plans that will help to deliver a quality product. You'll be testing and acting as a user advocate for a platform that lets lawyers scale themselves 100x more effectively.

What you’ll do:
Work with a talented and collaborative QE team passionate about delivering a quality product
Be an integral part of a cross-functional team and advocate for the implementation of quality-minded practices
Design, document and execute test plans to identify defects and continuously improve Quality process as part of the Software development lifecycle
Employ user empathy to provide usability feedback and insights on how to best ensure that features meet or exceed expectations and create a positive user experience
Review design and product specifications to ensure they address customer use cases, proactively identify potential areas of risk and discuss potential solutions
Utilize version control, cloud hosting, CI tools to effectively test complex business logic on our web application built on a modern stack (TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, Java, and Docker containers in Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform)
What we look for:
A Software Quality Engineer with 4+ years of industry experience working on a high caliber QE team, testing SaaS web applications to help deliver a high quality product
Bachelors in Computer Science (or STEM related field) OR equivalent work experience
Solid knowledge of QE methodologies, processes, tools, and the software development lifecycle
Experience using TestRail, Jira, Github, Google Cloud Platform, Circle CI (or similar tools)
Track record of leading quality initiatives or projects as part of a cross-functional team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set with the ability to anticipate problems and propose solutions
Desire to work cross-functionally with excellent communication skills (experience in legal space not required) and express user empathy with partners across the business
Ability to operate independently, take on complex projects, and drive improvements in areas of risk
Provide technical mentorship and guidance for junior teammates

Base Salary Range: $145,000 - $160,000
The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate. Our base salary is just one component of Ironclad’s competitive total rewards package, which also includes equity awards (a new hire grant, along with opportunities for additional awards throughout your tenure), competitive health and wellness benefits, and a commitment to career growth and development.
