Our mobile app, web app, and browser extension are home to a community of mindful newsreaders who use our news comparison platform to easily see every side of a story and engage with news beyond their filter bubble.
Unlike most news companies, our audience and our values do not align with any specific political ideology. Unlike most tech platforms, we don’t use manipulative algorithms to keep users on our platform to sell more ads. We are supported by our readers who pay for a subscription to build a more nuanced understanding of the news, the world, and themselves.

The Opportunity - Product Marketing Manager ( Remote - Canada)
As Ground News continues to evolve and expand its offerings, we are looking for a talented Product Marketing Manager to lead product marketing efforts. This role will partner with teams across the organization to help our customers realize core values and to assist our prospects on the value proposition Ground News has on offer.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of product marketing strategies tailored for B2C SaaS products, with a strong emphasis on product-led growth and paid media optimization. This role will be key in defining and executing marketing strategies that resonate with Ground News’ target audience and contribute directly to its business objectives.
What You’ll Do:
Product Positioning & Messaging: Develop clear, compelling product messaging and value propositions that resonate with target audiences and differentiate Ground News in the market. Ground New is a complex product and the right candidate can simplify the messaging for new and existing users.
Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies: Craft and implement comprehensive product marketing strategies aligned with a product-led growth model.
Channel Identification and Initiative Oversight: Identify appropriate marketing channels and oversee various initiatives to drive lead generation, customer acquisition, and user engagement.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product team to ensure that marketing efforts are fully integrated with product features and user experience.
Performance Tracking and Optimization: Track, analyze, and optimize key performance metrics to ensure continual improvement and success of marketing initiatives.
Experiment-led Approach: Implement and manage an experiment-led approach to refine and enhance marketing tactics for optimal results.
Industry and Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and the competitive landscape, specifically within the B2C SaaS and marketing strategies, to maintain a competitive edge.
What You’ll Have:
Proven Experience in Product Marketing: Extensive experience in product marketing for B2C SaaS products, particularly with product-led growth strategies.
Channel and Initiative Management: Expertise in identifying appropriate marketing channels and overseeing various initiatives to drive lead generation, customer acquisition, and user engagement.
Content-led Skills: Strong ability to develop content-driven strategies, including content creation, positioning, and messaging that resonate with the target audience.
Customer and Market Research: Proven experience in conducting in-depth customer and market research to inform product positioning, messaging, and overall marketing strategy.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, track performance metrics, and adjust strategies based on insights.
Collaboration: Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and engineering.
Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and implement marketing initiatives that align with overall business goals.
What You might Have:
Startup Experience: Experience working with early-stage startups, especially in a fast-paced and experiment-driven environment.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with News Media and tech is a bonus.
