What you will be doing

As an IT Project Manager, you will not manage the day-to-day delivery of individual teams but instead focus on cross-team synchronization, collaboration, and project facilitation in an agile environment. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth project delivery, seamless communication across business units, aligning goals, and facilitating problem-solving, all while ensuring that dependencies are highlighted and addressed across business units and teams. Your goal is to promote a unified approach to project execution, help the organization maintain momentum, and ensure the success of cross-functional initiatives.

  • Managing Cross-Team Delivery: Create and monitor high-level project plans (UX, architecture design, DevOps, coding, testing, rollout), and visualize end-to-end deliverables to ensure transparency, progress tracking and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Support Agile Ways of Working: Support Development Teams, Architects, Product Owners, Product Managers etc. to synchronize efforts, encourage self-organization of the teams, support continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with Agile Delivery Leads.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to synchronize priorities, and timelines, resolve blockers, and ensure cohesive execution.
  • Leadership Support: Meet with senior leadership to understand their vision and their needs, provide an assertive communication of the progress of the project.
  • Dependency Management: Identify, monitor, and mitigate interdependencies between various teams to streamline delivery processes.
  • Risks and Issues: Anticipate and monitor risks, issues, roadblocks, and competing priorities. Proactively highlight potential delays or conflicting needs during the delivery process to ensure timely resolution and maintain project momentum.
Knowledge and skills you need to have
  • Minimum of 4 years working as a PM with development projects:
    • PM in an agile environment: Knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices, and the ability to blend them together to achieve initiative success.
    • Communication: Fluent in Spanish, advanced level of spoken and written English
    • Cross-Functional Coordination: Proven experience working closely with multiple teams (Development, Product, QA, DevOps, Infra, etc.) to align efforts, resolve dependencies and deliver shared goals.
    • Stakeholder Management: Strong experience in managing relationships with leaders, keeping them informed, and securing their support.
    • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to bring together stakeholders from different units, understanding their needs and concerns, and guiding them toward unified project outcomes.
    • Problem Solving: Experienced in anticipating project risks and roadblocks, taking proactive steps to mitigate them.
    • Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and other project management tools.
    • Flexibility: Comfortable working across different time zones and managing multiple ongoing initiatives.
