We have raised over $380M in venture capital from investors including Tiger Global, Andreessen Horowitz, Matrix Partners, Meritech Capital Partners, and Initialized Capital. Now surpassing a $4B valuation, Flock is scaling intentionally and seeking the best and brightest to help us meet our goal of reducing crime in the United States by 25% in the next three years.

The Role

In 2023, our Commercial Sales segment experienced a significant amount of growth. That trend has continued in 2024 and we need to add to the team to support additional growth. As such, we are looking for a dedicated Project Manager to better service our Mid-Market (MM) customers and cross-functional partners. Specifically, this Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of numerous deployments and continuing to refine our go-to-market playbook for sustainable growth.

As a Project Manager in the PMO, you’ll be responsible for all facets of product installation after the sale is complete. As such, you’ll coordinate cross-functionally with the Planning, Supply, Permitting, and Field Operations teams to successfully install and activate the customer’s suite of products. You’ll also serve as the primary point of contact for the Customer throughout the installation process providing world class customer service and support.

The Skillset

  • 3+ years of operational and project management experience, including comprehensive experience collaborating across business units.

  • Experience utilizing technical project management processes and tools (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Ability to work strategically in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment, under tight deadlines, while managing multiple ongoing priorities.

  • Proficient working cross-functionally to address complex projects to meet organization's goals. Understand the importance of communication and inclusion of appropriate stakeholders and can get the "right people in the room".

  • Exceptional customer service while balancing the needs and priorities of Flock Safety.

  • Proven track-record of developing OKRs and meeting the KPIs to get there.

  • A solid level of business acumen and ability to creatively solve operational problems.

  • Ability to prioritize business needs and deployment of high quality and pragmatic solutions with a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to keep the team unified in efforts to perform at the highest level of accuracy to address complex tasks

  • Actions are aligned with the organization's values. Judgment and character beyond reproach.

  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage complexities both in scope of responsibilities and diversity of tasks. Demands and receives the same from the team.

Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? That’s okay, we’ve felt that way too. Studies have shown women and minorities are less likely to apply unless they meet all qualifications. We encourage you to break the status quo and apply to roles that would make you excited to come to work every day.

90 Days at Flock

We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired as a Project Manager at Flock Safety.

The First 30 Days

  • Establish a strong foundation of end-to-end PMO processes, tools, and systems

  • Acquire knowledge of Flock’s business - products, processes, teams, etc.

  • Meet with key internal stakeholders and establish strong cross-functional relationships

  • Assess current PMO ways-of-working and make recommendations for improvements

  • Lead Cx projects with little to no oversight from Manager

The First 60 Days

  • You should be managing a book of customers independently and providing excellent customer service, while adhering to Commercial PMO’s guiding principles (e.g., communication milestones)

  • You have a strong network of cross-functional partners to lean on and have proven yourself as a strong contributor to the PMO team

90 Days & Beyond

  • At the end of 90 Days, you are rolling - you have successfully completed a number of projects (size and scope dependent on deal flow), built your network, and are comfortable with PMO’s suite of systems, tools, data, etc.

  • You are fully in control of your book of business - highly communicative, delivering best-in-class customer service, able to independently solve complex cross-functional problems, and driving overall success for Commercial PMO

The Interview Process

We want our interview process to be a true reflection of our culture: transparent and collaborative. Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will guide you through the next steps and ensure you feel prepared every step of the way.

  1. Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are.

  2. The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field.

  3. The Technical Assessment: Our technical assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job. Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day.

  4. The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.

  5. The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.
