About the role

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Locals, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of our products at every stage of development.

Here's what you'll be responsible for

  • Maintaining product quality: you'll oversee product quality and documentation throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring high standards are met consistently.

  • Documentation preparation: you'll be responsible for creating test documentation, including test cases and checklists, to facilitate thorough testing processes.

  • Diverse testing: you'll conduct a variety of tests, including functional, API, UI/UX, integration, and installation testing, to validate the integrity and functionality of our products.

  • Defect identification and reporting: you excel at spotting defects. You’ll identify and carefully document them, following team guidelines to create clear, easy-to-reproduce bug reports.

  • Defect prioritization: you'll collaborate with the team to prioritize defects for resolution, ensuring smooth progress in the development cycle.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: you'll work closely with backend and mobile engineers, product managers, and designers.

  • Sharing best practices: collaboration is key. You'll actively engage with colleagues to exchange and implement best practices in QA, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Are you the perfect fit for our team? Here's what we're looking for

  • 2+ years of mobile app testing experience: you've got a solid track record in testing mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.

  • Client-server applications savvy: you possess an understanding of client-server applications, allowing you to navigate complexities with ease.

  • API testing and IAP experience: you bring hands-on experience with API testing tools and have worked with In-App Purchases (IAP) and A/B testing methodologies.

  • Positive attitude and organizational Skills: your positive outlook, reliability, and exceptional organizational skills set you apart.

  • A keen eye for detail: you have unparalleled attention to detail and a genuine passion for maintaining the highest standards of quality.

  • Familiarity with sniffers: you're familiar with using sniffers like Charles, Fiddler, or Proxyman to analyze and debug web traffic.

  • Familiarity with Firebase and analytical systems: you're comfortable using Firebase tools and analytical systems to gather insights and drive decision-making.

  • Independent and self-driven: you thrive in working independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of your tasks and delivering results.

  • Good English and Russian communication skills.

  • Experience in automation will be advantageous for this role.
