We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of People Operations & Total Rewads to join our People team. In this role, you will lead and optimize our People Operations functions, working closely with the Chief Operation Officer (COO) to drive operational excellence and implement HR strategies that align with our business goals. The VP of People Operations will oversee critical areas such as HR technology, employee lifecycle management, compensation & benefits, compliance, and HR analytics. You will play a key role in shaping a people-first culture and ensuring our operations run smoothly as we scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:  

Work closely with the COO and the executive team to design and execute people strategies that support business objectives, improve employee engagement, and enhance operational efficiency.

HR Technology & Systems:  

Lead the optimization and implementation of HR systems and tools, ensuring a seamless employee experience and data-driven decision-making. Partner with IT and other departments to align systems with business needs.

Compensation & Benefits:  

Oversee the design and execution of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Ensure market competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.

Employee Lifecycle Management:  

Drive best-in-class processes for onboarding, employee engagement, and offboarding. Ensure that all people operations are scalable, efficient, and aligned with company culture.

Compliance & Risk Management:  

Ensure that all HR policies, processes, and systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Proactively manage HR-related risks and support internal audits and compliance initiatives.

People Analytics:  

Develop and oversee data-driven workforce planning and analytics. Provide insights on talent trends, turnover, employee engagement, and other key metrics to guide decision-making.

Team Leadership:   

Lead and mentor the People Operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

Culture & Engagement:  

Support initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment. Partner with the COO to drive engagement strategies that align with the company’s values and objectives.

Workplace Experience & :

Drive strategies in support of both remote and in-office (global) company cultures, ensuring employee engagement, collaboration and inclusion.

 

Qualifications:

Experience:  

10+ years of progressive experience in People Operations, HR, or related functions, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. 

Experience scaling people operations in high-growth companies is a plus.

Education:  

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.

 

Skills:

  - Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  - Proven track record of driving HR process improvements and operational excellence.

  - Expertise in HR technology platforms (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, etc.).

  - Deep knowledge of compensation, benefits, and HR compliance.

  - Data-driven mindset with experience using people analytics to guide decision-making.

  - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Compensation: 

Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The starting base salary for this position will range from $225,000.00 - $250,000.00 Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
