Spinrite is the largest craft yarn and sewing thread company in North America. As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager. this individual will be responsible to support Spinrite Operations and Finance functions by providing data-driven decision capability through the cash forecast model and detailed business analysis support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the weekly management of cash forecast model development, data input, collection, validation and presentation to the Board and Leadership team.
- Assist in identifying risks and opportunities within the cash forecast model.
- Support the integration of Planful reporting software.
- Complete ancillary reporting for the accounting team.
- Identify and support efforts to establish and improve scalable business processes.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and perform other duties as required.
- Able to work independently and adapt quickly to the needs of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and team-oriented
- Ability to work within a matrix structure to complete tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- 6+ years' experience in a financial planning and analysis role or Senior Accounting Role
- Advanced proficiency using Microsoft tool suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and BI software.* (i.e., Visual Manufacturing, Global Financials and Power BI)
- Experience developing cash forecast models.
- Experience with analysis of large quantities of data.
- Post-secondary education in business or accounting; MBA or CPA a plus
