We are looking for a dynamic, proactive and talented to join our Europe Legal Team in Madrid and provide legal support to our IT business teams in Spain-Latam Region. Our new colleague will join a talented, innovative and diverse team of Legal Counsels and Contract Managers in Europe. The role will offer room to grow. Structured professional and personal development is a key element in the Legal Team and the organization at large.
Key responsibilities:
- You will be mainly responsible for the negotiation and review of IT/outsourcing, digital, and software contracts for Private Sector and strong background in Public Sector contracting rules, both for existing accounts but also new opportunities and deals.
- Support the review and negotiations of a wide range of IT Contracts considering business and legal requirements.
- Have end-to-end legal support responsibility for a set of assigned deals in the region with special focus on IP, IT and Data Protection Law.
- Realize all legal aspects of contracting with the customers and with the providers, including claims, ensuring compliance with relevant local legislation and company’s codes and policies.
- Business partner with knowledge of the business and its goals.
- Articulate clearly legal advice in a pragmatic manner to all stakeholders.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU?
- Fully qualified Spanish Lawyer, in the range of around 5-10 years of PQE.
- Interest in the field of IT Outsourcing, Digital, Intellectual Property, software licensing and data privacy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel within the company, clients, and vendors.
- Good time-management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize work activities to accomplish assigned duties under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Thrives at being part of a team and working cross-functionally.
- Ability to perform in a self-sufficient manner with minimal secretarial and administrative support.
- Native or business-level Spanish language skills are a must-have, fluent business English is essential as well.
