ElevenLabs is a growth-stage startup that has built the most advanced AI voice models and AI voice products (text to speech, audiobooks creation, dubbing, and the voice library).

We are looking for a Commercial and Privacy Counsel to join our exciting team at ElevenLabs!.
Draft, negotiate, and close complex commercial transactions with the company’s customers, vendors, and strategic partners across diverse industries.
Partner closely with sales and business teams to develop and execute strategies that drive our high-growth, go-to-market initiatives.
Identify and address privacy and legal risks associated with our advanced technologies, implementing effective risk mitigations.
Develop deep expertise in privacy and data protection laws and regulations as they apply to AI products.
Stay informed on evolving legal frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory guidance, and apply this expertise to support compliant and innovative product development.
Contribute actively to the Legal Team’s efforts to scale commercial and privacy functions while fostering a collaborative, supportive team culture.
You’re genuinely interested in the future of AI and emerging technologies, bringing curiosity and enthusiasm to your role.
You stay up-to-date on industry trends and legal developments, particularly in privacy and data protection, and are eager to apply this expertise to cutting-edge products.

JD with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (New York preferred).
3+ years of relevant legal experience (in-house experience preferred), with at least 2 years focused on drafting and negotiating SaaS or technology agreements, and managing privacy matters.
You have a deep understanding of enterprise software agreements, SaaS licensing, data protection, and intellectual property, with the ability to navigate complex commercial transactions. You know how to structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of agreements for the tech industry.
You bring a strong background in privacy and data protection laws and can apply this knowledge to support the development of innovative AI products. You understand the privacy risks associated with emerging technologies and are skilled in identifying and mitigating these risks.
Excellent analytical and communication skills to support cross-functional teams as well as external clients and partners.
Cross-border experience, particularly in the U.S., UK, and EU. Dual-qualification is a plus.
