We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our growing team. As a DevSecOps Engineer you will be challenged as you solve complex problems, create and brief technical information and collaborate with various entities within the Intelligence Community. You will be responsible for managing cloud-based services, in particular with DevSecOps and continuous integration in order to maintain and obtain operation authorization. You will own the DevSecOps structure and pipeline running at various classification levels and help drive strategies for critical government customers.
This role resides in our delivery team and reports to the Program Lead. This position is remote with a 10% travel requirement.
SIXGEN supports cyber and intelligence missions by serving government and commercial organizations as they overcome global cybersecurity challenges. Our highly skilled operators conduct research and assessments based on real-world threats. We simulate adversaries and malicious actors to report details and actionable findings on critical assets and infrastructures. Our program planners advise mission owners to bring rapid solutions to intelligence mission leaders. Using innovative processes, tools, and techniques, we predict and overcome cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Our successes are supported by our diverse team of experienced, technical talent. Core Responsibilities:
- Utilize DevSecOps techniques, continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD) and testing, development of end-to-end solution deployment across environments.
- Work with DevOps tools including: Pipeline management, Docker, Gitlab, Ansible, AWS, SDKs, etc.
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
- Mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
- Write and edit deployment scripts in Python, Bash, or Powershell to copy files to various hosts and initialize software.
- Configure and utilize Docker Server to dynamically provision and register GitLab runners to support developer requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in AWS cloud environments.
- Experience with ATO process and A&A packages.
- Languages and database knowledge (Ruby/MySQL).
- RHEL/Linux administration.
- One of the following certifications: CySA+, GICP, Security+, SSCP, CASP, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CND or GSEC.
- Great leadership and communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to help others.
Additional Details:
- Job Location: Remote, some travel to Annapolis Junction, MD
