The Role

Jump is seeking a motivated IT Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will manage IT support functions and develop expertise in DevOps, with opportunities for hands-on growth in automation, security, and infrastructure management. As the primary IT contact, you will oversee key IT functions such as employee onboarding and offboarding as well as  device and access management. You’ll also help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the organization. As your skillset grows, you'll be involved in infrastructure maintenance, security auditing, and responding to support requests, providing a pathway to expand your skills in DevOps and security.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding of team members in collaboration with HR and Recruiting, ensuring smooth IT setup and handoff

  • Oversee JAMF administration to keep team hardware and software secure and up-to-date.

  • Configure and manage Okta for streamlined access control and security

  • Support team members by troubleshooting IT issues

  • Develop DevOps skills over time, contributing to infrastructure maintenance, handling feature requests, and responding to on-call support as needed

  • Support security audits and help ensure compliance across IT operations.

  • Evaluate, select, and monitor SaaS tools to improve organizational efficiency

  • Collaborate on security and data privacy compliance, supporting company-wide policies

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in an IT support/operations role, with a strong desire to learn and grow in DevOps.

  • Hands-on experience with JAMF

  • Okta administration expertise

  • Experience supporting remote employees with IT requests

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to patiently troubleshoot and resolve IT issues for team members of varying technical abilities

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and operational efficiency.

  • Ability to be part of an on-call rotation

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience with Google Workspace administration

  • Experience with Apple Business Manager (ABM)

  • Security auditing skills

  • Expertise in VPN Administration 

  • AWS exposure

  • Terraform experience

Compensation

Compensation is something we don’t want our candidates or employees to worry about. Our goal is to offer competitive salaries that are regularly benchmarked against the market. The core tenants of our compensation philosophy are fairness and transparency.

We have established a standardized leveling framework based on job scope and responsibilities This means that every person at a certain level is paid the same as everyone else, regardless of their background, previous compensation, location, or any other factor.

The compensation for this role is $125,000 and includes a generous equity package.
