Job Summary
NinjaHoldings is seeking an experienced business analyst to join our Risk & Analytics team. This is a critical position that will be responsible for designing, creating, and managing decisions in our rules engine platform. The candidate will manage the implementation of business rules throughout our application funnel to ensure we are always making optimal decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and thoroughly test new decisions in the customer acquisition and underwriting rules engine, collaborating with Analytics and Engineering to ensure a seamless integration
- Maintain the rules engine; developing and testing changes to the rules when necessary to optimize originations and loan performance; and ensuring the decisions are working as intended
- Monitor key funnel metrics, reports, and dashboards to evaluate the performance of our products and understand the root causes of changes
- Establish funnel performance metrics and develop automated reporting and alerting using SQL and Python
- Conduct analysis using advanced data analytics to evaluate trends in funnel performance and fraud metrics and provide strategy recommendations to optimize performance based on company objectives
- Support underwriting by having an understanding of the rules for different customer segments and products
- Communicate concise and actionable business strategies to senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business discipline (e.g., math, statistics, finance, economics, engineering, or other quantitative fields)
- 3+ years of experience working with business stakeholders and technical teams to design and implement solutions
- 2+ years of experience working with python and SQL for reporting and data analysis in a professional setting
- SQL proficiency and experience working with relational databases, query authoring, as well as familiarity with a variety of databases
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with key attention to detail
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work effectively while managing multiple projects with tight deadlines, understand the project requirements with minimal guidance, and follow through to completion
Additional Pluses, but Not Requirements:
- Experience working with specialty finance or FinTech
- Experience with low code rules engine platforms
