As a Studio Analyst at Magnopus, you will play a crucial role in analysing data from our game and making impactful recommendations for improvement. Your insights will empower development teams to make informed decisions that enhance player experiences and drive the success of our project. You will also be responsible for recommending KPIs that align with both business goals and user experience, enabling us to track and measure our progress in turning great into exceptional. This position is a fixed term contract until June 2025.


Responsibilities
  • Engage with game developers day-to-day during active development cycles to apply and test analytics libraries.
  • Present descriptive and prescriptive metrics and analyses that empower Magnopus to make informed decisions about our games.
  • Utilise analytical languages and tools like SQL, R, and Tableau to conduct deep analyses.
  • Coach and empower partners, peers, and teammates, spreading your skills and knowledge of game analytics to those around you.
  • Monitor and calculate key metrics such as distinct users, retention, and time spent, including assessing the impact of content updates.
  • Build reporting dashboards that visualise key metrics and analytics.
  • Provide reports on blocking issues, analytics results, and quality status to the development team, facilitating discussions around corresponding risk areas.
  • Apply familiarity with video game features and player behaviour to uncover issues and opportunities for improvement.


  • Requirements
  • Experience working in the games industry, supporting game development, release, or live operations.
  • Strong experience with SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Microstrategy, or Power BI.
  • Experience in game development with proficiency in languages like TypeScript, C++ and other development tools, enabling collaboration with development teams on technical issues.
  • Passion for gaming and content creation, demonstrated through a deep interest in player behaviour and game analytics.
